The Foundation in Ukraine and Belarus

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is a liberal political foundation which aims to contribute to enforcing the principle of human dignity in all areas of society. For this purpose, the Foundation relies above all on civic education.

Being part of the project-region East and Southeast Europe, the Foundation has been active in Ukraine since 2006 and opened an office in Kyiv in 2007. Since March 2009 this office has also been responsible for Belarus.

The goal of the foundation in Ukraine is to support the society in its strive for self-determination, democracy and market economy. Our Ukrainian partners are political parties, civil society organizations and think-tanks.

The foundation promotes contacts in liberal political networks worldwide. In addition, the foundation sees itself as an initiator of dialogue within civil society as well as between civil society and government institutions, including in Germany.
